CRAYVALLAC PA3X20

CRAYVALLAC PA3X20 is a pre-activated amide wax dispersed in a mixture of xylene and alcohols. This rheology modifier is generally best added to solvent-based industrial coatings following the pigment grind stage, where it provides excellent control of sedimentation and sag. When using a high-speed disperser, it is recommended that Crayvallac PA3X20 be added during the final stages of production, when the coating has been partially thinned to a viscosity of approximately 600 - 800 mPa.s (ICI cone and plate at 10000s -1) and the peripheral speed reduced to approximately 4 ms-1. Too high a speed results in destruction of the active components.
